Agenda
Petit dej’
Petit Déj’, short for petit déjeuner, is the French word for breakfast. Freshly baked croissants and pains au chocolat mark the beginning of a day spent together at Maison José.
Open Gallery
Throughout the day, Maison José transforms into an open gallery, inviting visitors to wander freely through the house and gardens at their own pace. Bringing together artists from diverse disciplines and backgrounds, the exhibition explores themes of intergenerationality, urban life, and female empowerment through photography, painting, installation, and mixed media.
More than an exhibition, the Open Gallery is an invitation to engage with the questions that shape how we live together. Situated at the intersection of art, sociology, and politics, it explores how creativity can deepen our understanding of lived experiences across generations, cultures, and communities.
At Maison José, we believe that art is not only something to observe, but a way of opening conversations, cultivating curiosity, and imagining new ways of understanding the world together.
Flower arranging
An interactive session for makers and thinkers to collaborate, connect, and spark new ideas.
Conversations at Maison José
Conversations at Maison José
Recorded live throughout the day, the Maison José Conversations bring together artists, researchers, practitioners, and curious minds in an evolving space for dialogue. At its heart is the Open Couch, an invitation to sit down as you wander through the exhibition, share a story or thought, or simply see where a conversation leads.
At selected moments, Sakshi and Eva host informal conversations from the couch, welcoming you to join them for a chat. In the afternoon, Le Salon, brings together a small group of people for a moderated discussion inspired by the themes of the exhibition.
As the couch is filmed all day, the conversations become a living archive of the people, ideas, and encounters at Maison José.
11:30h - Conversations from the couch (hosted by Sakshi & Eva)
14:00–15:00 - Le Salon

Dumpling making
Step into José's kitchen and learn the traditional art of folding dumplings with Limei Zhang. A staple of Chinese family meals and celebrations, dumplings have been passed down through generations. The dumplings prepared throughout the workshop will become part of our lunch together.
Our workshops are designed as open studio experiences, therefore drop in whenever you like.
Painting in the Gardens
With Monet's gardens just half an hour away, spend the afternoon painting in the gardens of Maison José, inspired by the surrounding landscape and the Impressionist tradition. No previous experience is needed, just curiosity.
Our workshops are designed as open studio experiences, therefore drop in whenever you like.
Apéritif Dînatoire
A French-style evening of sharing, featuring seasonal and local produce, and a selection of creative tasting plates prepared by our chef Felix throughout the evening.
Open-Air Film Screenings
As the sun begins to set, gather in the garden for a curated selection of short films.
